Funny, I found this nestled underneath some keepsakes. It is a sweet reminder of days gone by. My first documentary attempt.....Boone's Barber Shop in East McComb, Mississippi. Taken sometime in the very early 90s....I was in high school and my dad set me up a tiny darkroom at the print shop and tried to teach me some developing basics....you know the old-fashioned dodge and burn (we made our own out of chipboard). Trying to remember... I shot this photo with a Canon AE-1 with a fixed 50mm, developed the film (probably Tmax) and even printed the photo (looks like it needed more fixer).... I was never good at the darkroom stuff, but what fun it was...Thanks Dad! Sadly, Boone's Barber Shop is long gone.

Take care!! Stay in touch!
My mother's first husband was Duston Boone from Brookhaven. It was a big family. Maybe the McComb Boones are related, although I never heard that any of the family lived down that way.
