your life story.

on the occasion of my lovely grandmother's 99th birthday
this is for you georgia

poised and graceful
strong and determined
tenacious
doesn't give up  (no matter how tedious life can be)
caring and forever thoughtful
authentic
love
this is just a glimpse of what you've shown me. how you live your story.

laughter, lots of chatter and many tears we've shared together.  how many grilled cheese sandwiches with a side of frozen whip cream (my childhood favorite) have you made me? muffins and groceries on saturdays. and every sunday a beautiful lunch with a beautiful tablecloth and a certain favorite dish for each family member. you even danced to barry white's can't get enough of your love one christmas in your 90s.

oh how i wish i could be there with you today. i'd bake you a cake and we'd talk and talk and talk. we'd have coffee with cream and more coffee with cream and eat lots of cake with ice cream.

really words don't do it justice and my brain isn't working on all cylinders with a toddler running around.

if anything, i want you to know this...
you have left a deep indelible mark on my life. taught me more than you will ever know....shown me jesus and what a relationship with him truly is.

for more than you will ever know and i can articulate...thank you. wishing you a beautiful day with lots of hugs, kisses, good food, good wine good stories and long laughs!!!!

much love, many kisses and loads of hugs all the way from arizona to you in mississippi.
i love you- tara
