from the shoebox

i recently revisited a few photographs of my beloved grandmother. i found them stashed in a shoebox. isn't that where all the good photos go? 

the first two were taken with b&w film (probably tri-x) and the nikon f3. in the first one...i hear "sissy did you just take my picture" ... grrrrr. the second photo was taken on a quiet little new years eve i surprised her with a bottle of champagne. we happily enjoyed.  the last photo was one of my first hassy shots. it's a grand photo because it contains the fantastic mr. t and the sassy miss basil. both dogs now deceased. 

ps. can anyone convince my husband that this sofa would look splendid in our living room. it is like a piece of art to me.
